Hello friend! I’m Kaitlyn and at my core I’m a story teller and a story gatherer. I believe in the authentic, messy, middle of the story just as much as the small and seemingly ordinary beginnings. I’m all caught up in stories; whether that’s a friend’s life story, a good book, a client’s love story, or the beautiful Gospel. I spend my time in one of two places: photographing gorgeous, joy-filled couples and working with college students. I truly have the best two jobs in the world and I couldn’t dream of a better way to spend my time. A huge plus to all of this is that I work with my husband, David!(!!!) Whether it’s photographing a wedding or meeting with college students, we’re in it together.
Our short four years of marriage have taught me that in the mundane moments of washing dishes and singing along to the radio on a road trip and falling asleep on the couch for the 4th night in a row…there’s something really lovely to be noticed. We’re living out an ordinary love story and that’s something worth celebrating. From dirty laundry to laughing until we cry, it’s all adding up to a life lived side by side. We’re passionate about marriage and about a life lived well. Even more so now that we’ve got our first little baby, who we affectionately call the Olliebear!
When I get the occasional bit of free time you can find me curled up with almost any type of fiction under a blanket, or binge watching something with a solid storyline on Netflix. (obvious picks – grey’s anatomy, doctor who, the office) Or you’ll find us snuggling our fluffy toy poodle, Neville, and having an accidental staring contest with our so-ugly-she’s-cute puggle, Layla…all the while wondering what both of those crazy pups are thinking. When all else fails, you’ll find me revisiting my first love and rereading the Harry Potter series for the umpteenth time. (seriously, it’s too many to say proudly) On a typical day you’ll find me in a dress or a giant sweater with leggings because real pants are overrated. And probably accessorizing with a slightly too big hair bow.
Do these random facts and small glimpses of my heart make you want to be friends? Head over to the “let’s chat” tab so we can get to know each other a little better.
